Just as this concrete, brick, and mortar foundation forms, so does a spiritual foundation, which begins layer upon layer with tried and true methods from God.
With time on His side, it may seem like days, weeks, months and at time years of seeking to do God's will, and one gets sidetracked or another course of action may prevail as in my case.
My name is Thomas Todd, I began Christian ministry in 1975 in High School. After graduating High school I entered the military where ministry became less important to me and later on I was a sailor. Life continued where I had Jesus with me, but most of the time I didn't acknowledge His presence. In 1984, I met my bride Tina in Sicily, we married and left the military in 1986 with 8 years of service. Worked for a variety of employers, mostly in the Telecommunication field, around the country. In 1989, Tina and I were attending church in South Carolina and I was on Midlands Tech campus and God said to me, "You're going to have to quit smoking to hear my voice." On Jan. 1, 2001 I quit smoking cold turkey, with prayer and God's guidance, I'd tried many times in the preceding ten years to no avail, only with God's help was I able to stop. During this time of my life God spoke to me about speaking to my mom and dad about something that was on their heart, a-g-i-n-g. As we saw one of my grandmothers having to be admitted to a nursing home they did not like the idea of themselves having to live in one and I promised them they would never be placed in one to live. Thus, when my sibling said she couldn't live with them anymore, I became their full-time caregiver. I had already been doing this with my sister off and on for a couple of years.
I became my parent's parent or guardian as they declined in mental capacities, which started on a full-time basis in 2017, until 2019 I had some relief for a couple of months and then back full-time in the middle of 2019 until their deaths in Nov. 2023, and Feb 2024.
Much time was spent caring for their estate, which continues today, July 2024. Soon, I hope most of my duties will end and I can continue in my personal life with my wife and ministry.
Yesterday, I was listening to InTouch online with Dr. Charles Stanley. His program has ministered to my wife and me over the years, even with him having gone on to eternity, his recordings still grasp my ears and his biblical teaching hasn't wavered.
I realized just today, that even though I was starting back in ministry I had not given enough time to God on our personal relationship. Doing ministry and having a personal relationship with God can go hand in hand, yet sometimes serving others can take over one's life by doing good. My wife and I are somewhat like empty nesters now. Is God putting me out to pasture as I turn 65? I know of others who continue a ministry into their latter years, and yet all I sense is a different way of life ahead. Still, I know I have value. I've been putting off for these past few years of writing a book and yet I can't seem to find the right words. A friend told me to record into a writing program verbally, yet today I am a virtual novice to computer software, even this website is challenging at times and I get mad at the program, it's too advanced for me, twenty years ago a website build was simple.
About fifteen years ago God led me to visit various church denominations to see how others worshiped Him. Throughout going here and there to several states, the variety of church administration of services were similar, yet different aspects of performing rituals, and dogmas associated W-O-R-S-H-I-P of God were curtailed in an ecclesiastical ceremony in most denominations that separated from the Church of England. The ones that conducted pageantry on an ecclesiastical order somewhat like a ruler entering their kingdom palace exuded the Greek and Roman symbolic creeds. The Greek Orthodox in my viewpoint were more dogmatic in their cultural heritage along the Old Testament garment preludes. Both, the Roman and Greek accolades seem to leave out the personal transceiver of the Holy Spirit with the individual congregant believer.
Within the culture of both Roman and Greek mythologies, the character has an outside looking into action whereas the Separatists are driven by dogmas of past generations and relics that solidify their acceptance of each other, not necessarily to God.
Churches with good character relate to each other because of their outward appearances, but let the leadership determine the mindset of their flock and their teaching methods align with Biblical recorded literal teachings, especially those of the New Testament.
Church leadership is weak in today's world because of the lack of power from God. When many church leaders today are more determined to have a large piggy bank than staying close to the Word of God in their methods. God is allowing the church of today to disintegrate because He doesn't recognize it as The Bride of Christ. The USA is on a course of destruction because the country has fallen into the hands of the ill-repute politicians that allow the once Christian Nation to be swallowed up in evil-doing of the masses of American's and its Allies.
When a country or any group of people place God at the helm of the ship then overtime don't keep the ship clean or repairs are left in disarray, the ship starts to founder and even though the crew sees what's happening, the leadership knows how to repair it but their choices would belittle some of the crew that hopped on without putting forth any effort to keep it afloat, and others join the bandwagon to see how much it will take before it sinks and disembarks because they see the damage is grave, almost unrepairable or it would take years to do so, they choose a new ship once again not of their own making but embraces their ideologies, they jump ship.
The new ship carries all sorts of evil, it's the ship of The Anti-Christ. Its goal is to supplant itself as the way people should carry themselves, allowing all types of wickedness. The burning of babies, cohorts of cowards to molest, crude relationships, debauchery, murderers, incestual relations, lying, cheating, and hostility.
There are "Christian Churches" who support those evil Anti-Christ beliefs. These churches one can recognize easily, they are the ones that allow people in their church to teach, and preach the acceptance of same-sex marriages, homosexuals, gays and lesbians then promoting these evil atrocities, and practices that are written in the bible as evil sin, as okay. These churches are mislabelled they are mere groups of evil people portraying a Christian organization. Run away from these folks.
Now, let me say these people need Jesus as their Lord and Savior. If one comes into your presence ask them to attend church with you or if you're a mature Christian share the way to become a Christian. Don't be judgemental, because all have sinned and fallen short at times, but also don't associate with known sinners in their domain, it's easy to be led astray, Satan is lurking about and he loves to fish with Christians.

I mentioned earlier Dr. Charles Stanley is one of America's finest teachers of the Gospel, I'd like to recommend watching his teachings of "30 Life Principles" on InTouch.org
