Early rising, get up and Go and I will guide you.
Drive over to Highway 150 West, It's historical then, go to the Library.
In those days whenever God spoke to me I understood certain things about
certain words as with Library meaning God would reveal Himself, to teach me
and I would be learning.
God did teach me something historical and I want to share that with you.
As I drove down Highway 150 into Davidson County I was excited to learn what My God,
The God of the Universe was going to show me. I thought of events in Christian History and what
on earth could it be?
As I was entering Arcadia, I stopped for coffee and across the street was a Historical Marker, but
as I was about to read it, I understood this wasn't what God wanted to reveal to me, so I took a turn onto a side street and returned back to the highway to continue westward.
Soon I saw a sign that said, "Welcome to Historic Tyro," as I was slowing down to enter the township, God spoke to me to turn left and I did, to the end of the street, turn right then on to the stop sign and go across the street under the breezeway onto the parking lot and park near the side entrance to the church.
Get out ring the doorbell.
A woman came to the door and I said to her, "my name is Thomas Todd, and you may find this difficult to understand but God sent me here to visit your library and that you had something historical here." She answered, "well, yes we do, we have several things of historical nature, but I can't let you in, I'll call the pastor who lives in the residence across the parking area and he can come and talk with you."
As I waited in my car, sitting in a state of expectancy. You can imagine my excitement, I am about to learn of something that God wants to show me, and give me some understanding of it! My God, The God of the Universe to teach me something here in Tyro, North Carolina!
As I waited I saw a man leaving a house and walking towards me, I get out of my car and wait for him to arrive, he introduces himself to me as Pastor Phillips and I told him my name and that God woke me this morning, told me to get up and drive over to highway 150 westward and I ended up here. God informed me there was something here He wants to enlighten me about or with and I inquired to the pastor if he could show me the history of his church, he said "yes, let's go in."
The pastor said, "this was a historical consecrated place for him."
"The church was established in the 1760's across the road and down a bit where the old cemetery is located., this location where the church sits today was formed and built in 1926.
The pastor began to show me the articles that was present in their library, the original membership and records book of the church, the original chalice the members used for communion of the saints, and a few other items that were significant to the pastor and his members and yet none of these items were what God brought me here for. The pastor then showed me in the sanctuary the original cross that was on the 1700's steeple mounted on the front wall of the church. Impressive as all these items, this is still not what God wanted me to know.
I asked the pastor where the cornerstone was located, because my past experience taught me the prayerful significance of that, and he directed me out aside door, also there was a sidewalk and I understood to prostrate myself on it and pray. As I lay there prostrated for only a moment and the pastor came around the opposite corner and said "by-the-way you are aware of today's significance of Dr. Martin Luther nailing the 95 Thesis on Whittenburg's wall." Then GOD said to me, "THAT PLEASED ME!"
